Our inspection
department is expanding....
Because of the demand of quality control in everything we do at Clifty
we have opted to expand our inspection department and upgrade our
equipment. We have more then doubled the floor space of our
existing inspection department. Downsizing our grinding room has allowed
us to expand our room. Having more space will allow us to have larger
equipment to handle larger parts. Besides making the room larger we are
also purchasing a new Sheffield Endeavor 12.20.10 CMM with PC-DMIS
Pro Tower Computer.

Reverse engineering, quality part inspection, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) are the responsibility of Clifty Engineering's Quality Control Department. Every tool is inspected for quality assurance before leaving Clifty. Replacement details are digitized, checked, and detail drawings are updated to block dimensions.
Endeaver 12.20.10 CMM Machine
For those complex 3D contoured blocks that need to be duplicated but don't have detailed dimensions, Clifty can create dimensions with our "Remishaw" digitizing machine. The existing contoured block is placed on the machine, the XYZ moving probe follows the contour shape and the digitized information is fed into the computer. Other 2D dimensional criteria, such as mounting holes, is digitized on our Brown & Sharp digitizing machine.
